Heart of Carolina Jazz Society Member Application  

The Heart of Carolina Jazz Society is dedicated to the appreciation and enjoyment of jazz Since 1990, The Society’s twenty-piece volunteer Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra has presented Big Band Jazz and dance Music to thousands of enthusiasts in Central North Carolina.  In addition, The Society sponsors lectures and workshops in the schools and for the general public.

The nonprofit Jazz Society and volunteer Orchestra are funded by contributions, and by grants from the Herman Goldman Foundation, and the Lee County and North Carolina Arts Councils.  Contributions assist the Society in funding our rental of rehearsal space, director fees, professional player substitutions, new music, music stands, administrative costs, and contracting with professional jazz artists to perform with the Orchestra and visit schools.
